The State of Marlyand says 'Cabin John Crossing is a Model Community'

Who would have thought the great State of Maryland would ever hand out compliments to developers, let alone a developer working in the toughest jurisdiction in the toughest county in the state? Think no further.....today our Montgomery County inspector brought his team of supervisors from both the County and the State to Cabin John Crossing. The tour was an effort to demonstrate there are some developers doing all the right things and following the law to the strictest of measures. Using our small project along the Potomac River as a model for other developers in the State is an honor. We are just as proud of the site as our inspector is.

TRIM, TRIM AND YES, MORE TRIM

There are three times during construction when a home begins to demonstrate to visitors who lives there and what's important to them:: exterior facade, interior trim and landscaping. This week the trim has been going up in our first home at Cabin John Crossing. The trim is just like the rest of our home:: familiar yet unique and simple yet still very substantial. While not painted you can see from the photos how the trim is beginning to set a lovely tone for the completion of the home. Our trim carpenters are the true craftsmen almost artist like.

We are positive you will adore the completed home in just a few weeks.

D.C. Ranks #1 in “Best City for Families”

FROM THE WASHINGTON POST::

"Washington D.C. is now the best place in America to raise a family, so says Parenting magazine’s July issue. The history, the government, the breathtaking architecture and inspiring monuments — you don’t have to be a child to get an amazing education in this city. Our nation’s capital is also known for its plenitude of museums, in fact, there are 44, second only to the Big Apple!

Editors evaluated schools, housing, crime, employment, registered sex offenders, recreational activities, health care, commuting, child care and air quality to come up with their ranking. What differed from previous years, and what made D.C. shoot to the top, was that editors added a “charm and culture” category this year. It weighed the number of museums, performing arts venues, kid-friendly restaurants and the like."

GLEN ECHO STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND

STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL in Glen Echo

this Saturday | June 7th | from 11-3 6201 Dunrobbin Drive & MacArthud Blvd

This Saturday, June 13th, grab the kids and head over to the Episcopal Church in Glen Echo for their 36th annual Strawberry Festival. This delicious – and fun – kickoff to the summer will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Every year, when the strawberry crop is at its peak, neighbors head to a local orchard to pick bushels of berries. The berries are then brought to the Clara Barton House where they are cleaned and hulled in preparation for the festival the next day. It’s a delightful local tradition, and showcases, of course, lots and lots of strawberries! There’s nothing better than strawberry shortcake in June!! Except when it's a' la mode!

The Results of Peter's Photo Shoot in our Sales Office

Our Sr. VP of Construction cleaned up pretty well for his first photo shoot. Peter has helped us achieve the efficiencies and quality we had been working toward for years. We are all so proud of our homes. This pride begins with our architect and ends with Peter. Way to go team!
