Sean Ruppert as a City Council Member ?!? Interesting.

Well, it is possible if the city were made of Legos.

Today is my first day volunteering for the Urban Land Institute in their UrbanPLan program. It's a class in local high schools and universities where the students actually go through the entire process of planning and obtaining approval to re-build a blighted neighborhood in a fictitious city called Yorktown. They plan the neighborhood based on the city's tax revenue needs, local residents feedback and the developer's ability to obtain financing and requirement to make a profit. The students will plan the neighborhood in lego blocks that represent various building densities, historic uses, parks and so on based on the lego color. Then they have to get all dressed up and present  their plan to the city council.

That's where Sean Ruppert comes in, I will be on the city council.  Good Grief, me in a high school again, let alone Bethesda Chevy Chase High School?!?  High school didn't work out so well the first time around for me.  :-)

Below is a pic of the plan my team came up with during training. We did a fantastic job!
