A few months ago I became obsessed with finding the fabricator of the Elephants and Donkeys that the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities had designed for their 2002 Party Animals project. The exhibition had 100 of the animals painted by local artists and placed though-out the city.
After chasing down three incorrect fabricators, I 'Nancy Drew-ed' the former President of the Commission who emailed me the correct company in St. Paul, MN. Come to find out the original Donkeys and Elephants are held under a copyright. HOWEVER, they have a single Panda remaining from PandaMania (not under copyright) the 2004 exhibition with 150 Pandas places throughout our Nation's Capital. EVEN BETTER than the Party Animals!

I asked them to create two designs for us to chose from: a Leprechaun and a Jockey. |
